Something that spawned from a walk tonight

I went for a walk tonight to clear my head of alot if things. It was needed. To say that I've been a little stressed out would be an understatement of epic proportions. It'd be like calling Patrick Swayze "just another actor". And we all have seen Road House and know that to be a complete and total lie.

And the walk worked for the most part. But as I was walking I got to looking up at the stars and thinking about alot of different things.

Its interesting to think about the fact that the exact same stars that you see overhead are seen by every other person on the earth at one point or another. Kinda makes the world seem a little bit smaller. Just think it over for a second. Say you saw a shooting star, and made a wish. The chances that somebody else saw that star and did the same thing are pretty good, cuz the world is a big place. And the chances are also pretty good that they wished for something that was along the same lines of your wish. Cuz lets be honest, what do you wish for on a shooting star. The usuals, love, happiness, all around good fortune. So you probably have alot more in common with alot of other people than you may think. The last shooting star I saw, I gave the wish away.

Another cool point that came to me, was that the light that we see from the stars generated thousands of years ago. The light that we see may very well be coming from a star that is already dead. Thats pretty flippin amazing if you ask me. And in a sense, extremely romantic and poetic. Think it over. Its all one big metaphor for your life. Do you want to spend your life, adding up the days to the sum of being one big ineffectual nothing. Not likely. I'd like to make a lsting difference in somebody's life. I want to make an impact on someone that lasts after I'm gone.

Every time I look up at the stars I'm reminded of nights that I spent trying to figure things out with a certain girl. That was one of the roughest times ever. The nights we'd sit on the breakwall at the boat harbor, or go for walks by the river. They're burned into my head pretty vividly. I can still smell the sweatshirt she borrowed and slept in. Thats some killer stuff. Alot of people don't take notice of little things like that. For me, thats everything. Its the little things that a person does for you that count or get stuck in your head.

Well, thats what I thought about on my walk tonight. I'm sure its been thought about before, and that I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before. But whatev. I'm fine with that.

Shine on fuckers!
